Fees are the published retail schedule, not the volume-tier floor, and the €1,000 ramp figures are the all-in cost of an instant buy and a bank cash-out observed on the venue. 24h volume and trust score come from the venue's global book where we can map it, so a ring-fenced EU entity may trade far less than the figure shown — that is a liquidity hint, not an EU number.

MiCA, answered

+ What does a MiCA licence actually protect?

It covers conduct and custody, not price. An authorised CASP must segregate client assets from its own, publish a fee schedule, disclose conflicts, and answer to a named regulator in one member state that passports the licence across the EEA. Nothing in MiCA guarantees a token holds its peg or that a venue stays solvent.

+ Why did some EU venues delist USDT?

MiCA's e-money token rules require an authorised EU issuer for any token marketed as a stable claim on a currency. Tether has not sought that authorisation, so several venues removed EEA trading rather than risk offering an unauthorised EMT. USDC and EURC, issued through a licenced French entity, were unaffected.

+ Is a MiCA venue cheaper than an offshore one?

Usually not on headline fees. The MiCA set clusters between 0.1% and 1% on spot, against 0.02–0.1% offshore. What you buy is a supervised entity, segregated assets, and a complaints route that ends at a regulator instead of a support ticket.

+ Does the home member state matter?

It decides who supervises the firm and how quickly complaints get handled, but the licence passports EEA-wide, so a Maltese or Irish CASP can serve a German resident. Supervisory intensity does vary, which is why we show the regulator rather than only the flag.

+ How is this list maintained?

Rows are checked against national registers and each venue's own fee schedule, and marked authorised only when a named regulator has published or confirmed the licence. Anything a firm has announced without a register entry stays flagged as reported.
