Crypto-friendly banks and dollar accounts

The hardest part of holding on-chain dollars is not the token — it is the bank account on either side of it. These providers accept crypto-related payments, support USD (and often EUR) rails, and in several cases let you convert to and from stablecoins in-app.

Tick up to four providers to compare them side by side.

Common questions

What makes a bank 'crypto-friendly'?

Three things: it accepts inbound and outbound transfers to regulated exchanges, it does not close accounts purely on crypto-related activity, and — at the better end — it offers native stablecoin conversion or on-chain withdrawals.

Is my balance insured?

Deposit insurance (FDIC in the US, deposit guarantee schemes in the EU/UK) applies only to fiat held at a licensed bank, and often only via partner banks. Stablecoin balances are never deposit-insured — they are a claim on the token issuer, which is why the issuer's reserve quality matters.

Can I earn yield on a USD balance?

Some fintech accounts pass through money-market or T-bill yield. That is economically similar to holding a tokenized treasury, but with a different risk profile: bank/fintech counterparty risk instead of smart-contract and issuer risk.

Which stablecoin should I hold in a bank-linked account?

Whichever one the provider redeems 1:1 without a spread. USDC and USDT dominate because they have the deepest secondary liquidity if the provider's own redemption route is ever gated.

Directory entries are hand-maintained and limited to facts we can verify from public sources: custody model, KYC, fiat rails, supported dollar assets, chains and regions. We do not publish fees or rates here because they change constantly — always confirm on the provider's own site. Nothing here is an endorsement or financial advice.
