Institutional custody and treasury infrastructure for stablecoins

Holding eight figures of dollars on-chain is an operations problem before it is an investment one. These platforms provide key management, policy engines, transaction approvals and the reporting a controller or auditor will ask for.

Common questions

What does 'qualified custodian' actually mean?

It is a regulatory status — typically a trust company or bank supervised in its jurisdiction — that lets regulated funds and advisers hold client assets there. MPC software alone is not a qualified custodian; several vendors offer both a self-hosted product and a separately licensed custody entity.

MPC, multisig or hardware — which model is safest?

They fail differently. Multisig is transparent on-chain and chain-specific; MPC is chain-agnostic and hides the quorum off-chain; hardware plus a policy engine is simplest to audit but slowest to operate. What matters more than the primitive is whether key shards, approvers and recovery material are genuinely separated.

Is a custodian's insurance meaningful?

Read the wording. Most policies cover theft of keys held in cold storage, not protocol failure, issuer default or a depeg. Insurance sizing is also usually per-custodian, not per-client, so a large loss is shared pro rata.

How should a treasury split stablecoin holdings?

Common practice is a working balance at an exchange or payment provider, an operational balance in an MPC wallet with policy controls, and a reserve in qualified custody or tokenized treasuries. Splitting across at least two issuers limits the impact of a single redemption freeze.

Directory entries are hand-maintained and limited to facts we can verify from public sources: custody model, KYC, fiat rails, supported dollar assets, chains and regions. We do not publish fees or rates here because they change constantly — always confirm on the provider's own site. Nothing here is an endorsement or financial advice.
